Another year

I need to confess something, actually, I started this blog around 2 years ago. And while on holiday and reading a magazine I was reminded that I had actually started this blog in the first place! lol. So, I've checked in and updated it with fresh dates to get things moving again. And this time I really must do this thing. Technology moves on and so does time and with it another year gets added to my age.

What has really changed over the last year is my interest in social networking and getting all things digital. I have a desire to remove all paper records from the house, within reason of course, I'll let you know how I get on.

Anyways, back to where we were....

A pause for thought

It's an interesting thing, when you stop for a second and realise just how much changes when you stand still or get consumed by other happenings in your life. Which I guess is what has prompted me to start this blog.

The promt? A School project for my twin boys. A project which required the boys to take photographs to school of significant events in their lives, and preferably a photograph from each year from birth to present day.

Fortunately I am rather good at archiving all of our family pictures and have done so for the last 10 years. Picking pictures for each year of their lives was a fairly easy thing to do with everything in date order. Printing out each picture onto fresh photo paper in glorious digital quality for all at school to see.

So, what happened over my lifetime for me to be sitting at the home computer printing out photos of my twin boys? I can say for certain that this would not have happened when I was their age! No home computer, no developing photos in the home darkroom in colour and to be honest I can't remember getting homework at primary school!

Then I asked myself "How did I get here?".

If I don't start a blog now then perhaps I never will. For now that question will stick as the title under which I plan to blog my life moving forward with reflection on what has happened in the past. Who knows, I may learn something......
